Anurag K. Das, MD is the Chief of Urology at the Smith Institute for Urology at Staten Island, Chairman of the Department of Urology at Staten Island University Hospital, and Professor of Urology at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. His primary clinical and research interests are voiding dysfunction, BPH, male and female incontinence, and neuro-urology.
Currently he is the Chair of the Coding and Reimbursement Committee of the American Urological Association and the past president of the Indian American Urological Association. He is also a member of the State Advocacy Network (AUA) and the Employed Urologist Committee (AACU).
He grew up in Brooklyn and then Long Island and graduated from Syosset High School.

General Surgery, Urology residency training, and Fellowship: Duke University Medical Center
He served on active duty as a Major and Chief of Urology at USAF Hospital Kirtland in Albuquerque NM. He was then at AMC Hospital and Albany Medical College, where he was an Associate Professor of Surgery/Urology. He then moved to become Director of the Center for Neuro-urology and Continence at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. After 18 years in Boston, he took his current position in 2021.
