Joel B. Nelson, MD was the Frederic N. Schwentker Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for 25 years, until December, 2024. Dr. Nelson’s clinical interest is prostate cancer and his research interest focuses on novel treatments for advanced prostate cancer. He is now Executive Vice President, Chief Clincal Officer, UPMC, and President of UPMC International.
