Katie Anderson is an assistant professor of urology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She attended medical school at the University of Minnesota and then completed a residency in urology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Genitourinary Trauma and Reconstruction (GURS) at the University of Minnesota. Her clinical interests include urethral and ureteral stricture disease, adults with congenital urologic conditions, neurogenic bladder from congenital and acquired causes, genitourinary fistula, urinary complications of pelvic radiation, and adult acquired buried penis. Her research interests include advancing quality of life and perioperative care for individuals with neurogenic bladder, understanding the importance of Frailty in individuals undergoing urologic reconstruction, and optimizing the care of patients with complications from pelvic radiation.
