Lori joined Stanford Urology in 2007 where she worked for over twelve years. She became the Lead APP for the Urology Oncology and Radiation Oncology teams in the Stanford Cancer Center in 2020. Currently, she is chair for the APP Professional Excellence Program (PEP) committee, with a goal of providing protected academic time to APPs. She is also co-chair of the cancer center newsletter and an active member of Stanford Advanced Practice Provider (APP) community. Within her clinical role, she is actively working on developing an APP led clinic for transperineal biopsies and she recently completed leading a quality improvement team to help develop a standard workflow for new patient record retrieval. She is former faculty for ACES, a communications course for providers and worked as a preceptor for over ten years as well as a formal and informal mentor to many SHC APPs. Furthermore, Lori is former Chair of the APP awards committee and the APP quarterly newsletter, she co-developed/managed and was on the faculty for the APP Controlled Substances program, as well as was President of the Golden Gate Chapter/San Francisco chapter for the California Association of Nurse Practitioners. Lori has presented at numerous local and international conferences for NP associations as well as the American Urologic Association on topics ranging from Overactive bladder and UTIs to pain management and the role of the NP. Lori's accolades include being nominated Stanford Healthcare APP of the year and the APP SHINE scholarship recipient, both in 2020. She also received the nursing legacy grant and published her first research article in a peer-reviewed journal in December 2019. Lori is an active member of AUA, AANP and CANP as well as a charter member of the Sigma Alpha Alpha Lambda at-Large chapter Honor Society of Nursing.
