Mary Dunn, RN, MSN, OCN, NP-C is an Adult Nurse Practitioner at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has a multidisciplinary role working in Urology and Medical Oncology, providing comprehensive care to patients with genitourinary malignancies. Her unique role allows her to provide autonomous patient-centered care while collaborating with some of the top providers and researchers in the field of Urologic Oncology. Her areas of clinical interest include survivorship, sexual health in cancer patients, and palliative care. She also coordinates the Testicular Cancer Survivorship Clinic, which is a monthly clinic formed as a part of a grant from the LIVESTRONG Foundation. She is Co-Director of the UNC von Hippel-Lindau Comprehensive Clinical Cancer Center and Hereditary Renal Mass Clinic, which was established in 2012. She serves on the Board of the Triangle Oncology Nursing Society, and the Triangle chapter of the Society of Urology Nurses and Associates. She is a founding member and secretary of the North Carolina Triangle Chapter of BCAN. She was the recipient of the 2016 Oncology Nursing Society's Excellence in Medical Oncology Award, the 2016 Triangle Business Journal's Health Care Heroes Award in the nursing category, and the 2021 AUA APP of the year. As an advocate of the nursing profession, she enjoys educating the community and her patients about the ever-expaning role of advanced practice nurses. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia and her Master's of Science in Nursing from Duke University. Outside of the workplace she enjoys reading, photography, cheering on the Chicago Cubs, and spending time with friends and family.
