Sparrow/Michigan State Urology Residency Program
Richard Sarle MD has been practicing urology for over 15 years. He completed his undergraduate and master’s education at Tufts University in Boston. He attended the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed his Urology and Fellowship training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Dr Sarle was fortunate to be part of Dr Mani Menon's original Robotic Prostatectomy Team and participated in many of the original work in robotic urology. He has participated in numerous educational and surgical training programs involving robotics around the world.
Following the completion of his training, Dr Sarle joined the Michigan Institute of Urology in Detroit, one the largest urology practices in the country at that time. During that time Dr Sarle was involved with the growth of the practice’s real estate investments, 401k evolution, practice expansion and participated in the group's research and academic endeavors. During this time Dr Sarle began to lecture to residents and attendings in areas of personal finance.
In 2018 Dr Sarle transitioned back to a more academic role becoming the Residency Program Director of the Sparrow/Michigan State Urology Residency Program. Dr Sarle believes that a solid financial education is essential to a rewarding medical career and provides a urologist the freedom to practice urology on their own terms.
