Rose Khavari, MD received her Medical Doctorate degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas with highest honors and completed her residency in Urology at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Khavari has been an Alpha Omega Alpha member since her junior year of medical school. During Urology residency at Baylor College of Medicine she was awarded multiple research awards such as the Department of Urology Research Award and the Elisabeth Pickett Research Award by the Society of Women in Urology. Under the mentorship of Drs. Timothy Boone and Dolores Lamb, Dr. Khavari received advanced fellowship and research training in male and female continence, pelvic floor reconstructive surgery, and neurourology at Houston Methodist Hospital (HMH) and Baylor College of Medicine. Training in voiding dysfunction, urinary tract and pelvic reconstruction with a focus on prosthetics, soft tissue reconstruction, bowel reconstruction and a supplemental experience in colorectal, gynecologic surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery has allowed her to become a well-rounded and highly skilled reconstructive surgeon in the growing field of Neurourology. Using her comprehensive and advanced training through residency and fellowship, combined with her interest in research and teaching, Dr. Khavari plans to build and lead a career in urogynecology, female urology, neurourology, and pelvic reconstruction.
