A/Prof Caroline Dowling is a urologist with a subspecialty interest in FPMRS, at Eastern Health, a growing network in the east of Melbourne, Australia. She was the Clinical Director of the service for the past six years and now is the Co-Director of the Medical Student Programs there currently. She completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Urology in Victoria and then a sub-specialty fellowship at The Royal Melbourne Hospital in Neuro-urology and Continence and a further fellowship year in the Department of Urogynaecology at Monash Health.
She has a career interest in both simple and video urodynamic studies and diagnosis and the surgical management of incontinence and prolapse. She is passionate about shared decision making in the treatment of prolapse and incontinence. She is active in teaching at all career levels, in the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand on its Diversity committee, in research and editorial review and the development of the urological specialty through advocacy, publication and peer support.
