David A Leavitt, MD is a fellowship-trained endourologist. He is the Associate Director of Endourology and Director of Laser Surgery at the Vattikuti Urology Institute at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan, USA. His clinical interests include all aspect of urinary stone disease, male voiding dysfunction, and minimally invasive surgery. He specializes in percutaneous (PCNL) and ureteroscopic management of complex urinary stone disease, as well as holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP). He received his endourology fellowship training at the Smith Institute for Urology in Long Island, New York, and his residency training at the University of Minnesota. His research interests include the complete spectrum of urinary tract stone disease as well as HoLEP outcomes and training other urologists in HoLEP technique.
