Justin S. Ahn MD is a Assistant Professor in Urology at University of California San Francisco. He completed his residency training at University of Washington in Seattle, then a fellowship in endourology and laparoscpy at University of California San Francisco. He is currently studying the use of contrast enhanced ultrasound to reduce unnecessary ureteral stent placement after ureteroscopy. He is also a rated commercial pilot and is collaborating with aviation safety experts to implment a near-miss resident education conference across surgical training programs. He has expertise in ultrasound-guided renal access, complex percutaneous nephrolithotomy, holmium laser enucleation of the prostate, and advanced laparoscopy.
