Matt Coward, MD, FACS is Vice President and Chief of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Atlantic Reproductive Medicine in Raleigh, NC, USA, and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Urology at the UNC School of Medicine. He earned his MD with Distinction followed by urology residency at UNC, and he completed fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine. His research career has included grants received from the NIH, the SMSNA, the Doris Duke Foundation, and UNC Healthcare, and he has served as a co-investigator with the Reproductive Medicine Network of the NICHD. He has published more than 75 peer-reviewed scientific articles and chapters. He previously served as the fellowship director for the UNC Andrology Fellowship. With the AUA, he is a former member of the Board of Directors at the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction (SSMR), he was a member of the AUA’s Leadership Class of 2022, and he served as the Program Chair for the Annual Meeting of the Society for the SSMR at the 2023 AUA Annual Meeting. Dr. Coward currently serves on the Board of Directors of the ASRM and as President of the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology (SMRU).
