Dr. Hafron is the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director of Clinical Research at the Michigan Institute of Urology (MIU) and Co-Director of the Clinical Board with Solaris Health. He is also a Professor of Urology at the William Beaumont SchoolOakland University in Royal Oak, Michigan. He isall areas of adult urology and specializes in cancers of of Medicine at experienced in the prostate, kidney, and bladder.
Dr. Hafron received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and his Doctor of Medicine from Loyola University Chicago-Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgeryidency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, and Urology Res in New York City. He continued his training as a Fellow in Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute, Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Hafron has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles on topics related to his expertise and has presented his work at many national and international scientific meetings. He is the recipient of many clinical research awards. He serves on the Editorial Boards of International Urology and Nephrology, Urology Times, and Oncology in Cancer Care. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the United Physicians Organization and currently serves on the Board of Directors for LUGPA. The American Board of Urology has certified Dr. Hafron as board-certified in the specialty of Urology.
