Khurshid Ghani is a Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan. Following completion of sub-specialist training in Endourology at the Stone Unit at Guy’s Hospital, London, Dr. Ghani undertook a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. He is the Course Director of an international symposium on ureteroscopy - Developments in Ureteroscopic Stone Treatment (D.U.S.T.). He has been focused on advancing a Dusting technique for endoscopic stone surgery and has extramural funding to study optimal parameters for holmium laser lithotripsy. He is also the Director of the Michigan Urological Surgery Improvement Collaborative (MUSIC), a physician-led quality improvement collaborative comprised of over 260 urologists across Michigan, with the goal to improve the quality of care for patients with prostate cancer, kidney stones and kidney cancer.
