Dr. Takacs currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Urology with a secondary appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Iowa. She received FPRMS subspecialty certification from the American Board of Urology in 2013. The focus of her practice is urologic conditions that affect women.
Dr. Takacs received her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, where she also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship. She then completed her residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, followed by a fellowship in female urology, incontinence and urodynamics at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas.
Dr. Takacs has served as a board member of the North Central Section of the AUA and is an active participant in the section’s annual meetings. She is currently working with the NCS on development of a Women in Urology Committee session at annual meetings with a goal of establishing non-voting representation on the NCS Board of Directors. She is also a current participant in the 2016-2017 AUA Leadership Program.
