Kevin Koo, MD, MPH, MPhil, is an assistant professor of urology at Mayo Clinic. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of urinary stone disease. He conducts clinical and translational research on the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying kidney stone formation. He also leads an education science lab designing and evaluating new technologies to enhance surgeon and patient safety and strengthen trainee performance. Dr. Koo is a nationally recognized leader in health policy and advocacy. He is an alumnus of the AUA H. Logan Holtgrewe Legislative Fellowship program and serves on the board of directors of the AUA Political Action Committee. A frequent contributor to the medical press, he serves on the editorial boards of The Journal of Urology and Urology Practice, among others. He sits on numerous committees and advisory councils of the AUA, Endourological Society, and the American College of Surgeons. A graduate of the Yale School of Medicine, he completed residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Twitter: @kvnkoo
