Dr. Hassan Razvi graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine in Saskatoon, Canada in 1988. After a rotating internship in Akron, Ohio, USA he then went on to complete Urology residency training at The University of Western Ontario (UWO), in London, Ontario, Canada. Fellowship training then followed in Endourology/Stone Disease at UWO and Prostate Disorders at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Centre in New York City. He joined the faculty at Western in 1995.
During his career, Dr. Razvi has held a number of leadership positions including 14 years as Chairman of the Division of Urology at UWO, Urology Residency Program Director, President of the Medical Staff Organization, Chair of the Canadian Urological Association (CUA) Research Scholarship Foundation, Chair of the CUA Guidelines Committee, President of the Northeastern Section of the American Urological Association and Chair of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeon of Canada Urology Exam Board.
Dr. Razvi is currently Professor in the Division of Urology at Western University. He is the Northeastern Section representative to the AUA Board of Directors. He is the Secretary and President-Elect of the Canadian Urological Association. He is on the Board of the Endourological Society and the Editorial Board of the Journal of Endourology.
He is the author of over 170 scientific papers and 12 book chapters. He has been guest professor at over 100 universities, national meetings or instructional courses throughout the world.
His clinical and research interests include the metabolic and surgical aspects of urinary stone disease.
