Consultant Urological Surgeon

Matthew Bultitude is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Guys' and St. Thomas' Hospital in London and has a subspecialist interest in the management of stone disease and endoscopic management of UTUC. He previously undertook a fellowship at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in 2008. He has been lead for the stone unit at Guy's, Clinical Lead for the urology department and is currently the Clinical Director for Transplantation, Nephrology and Urology.
His clinical and research interests are in the medical and surgical management of stone disease, cystinuria and endoscopic management. He has published widely in peer reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings. He has been an invited speaker at many international meetings. He has been the Honorary Secretary of the Urology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine (2017-18) and was Associate Editor for the BJU International (2011-20). He served as a member of the Executive Committee of the BAUS Section of Endourology (2021-24) and in 2024 joined the Scientific Congress Office (SCO) of the European Association of Urology with responsibility for stone disease. Since October 2025 he is President of the Urology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine in London.
