Ty T. Higuchi, M.D., Ph.D. received his undergraduate degree and doctor of philosophy in physiology and toxicology from Colorado State University and completed his medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his urology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and then went on to complete a fellowship in male reconstructive and transitional urology at the Cleveland Clinic. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado and holds appointments at the University of Colorado Hospital and Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Dr. Higuchi's clinical interest include general urology, male urethral strictures, rectourethral fisutla, male urinary incontinence, Peyronies disease, medical and surgical erectile dysfunction, neurogenic bladder, ureteral strictures, complications from radiation and robotic reconstruction. He has a unique interest in transitional urology and spends a portion of his time at Childrens Hospital Colorado caring for adolescent and young adults with congenital bladder anomalies who need lifelong surveillance and urologic care.
