Dr. Anne M. Suskind is the Maria Manetti Shrem Endowed Professor of Urology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she holds leadership roles as the Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs and the Chief of Neurourology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Nationally recognized at the intersection of urology and geriatrics, Dr. Suskind’s research focuses on the role of frailty in older adults undergoing urologic surgery. Her work has been consistently supported by competitive NIH funding—including R01, R21, R56, R03, K12, and T32 grants—as well as support from AHRQ and various professional societies and foundations.
She has been honored with multiple prestigious awards, including the American Geriatrics Society’s New Investigator Award (2016), the SUFU Paul Zimkind Award (2020), and the AUA Midcareer Award (2023). Dr. Suskind currently serves on the Executive Boards of SUFU and SWIU and is an Associate Editor for both The Journal of Urology and for Neurourology and Urodynamics. In addition to her clinical and research leadership, she is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of urologists, helping them build meaningful and fulfilling careers.
