Nirit Rosenblum, MD is an Associate Professor of Urology and Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Rosenblum completed urology residency training at NYU Medical Center. She then pursued fellowship training at UCLA Medical Center in female urology, urodynamics and pelvic reconstructive surgery under Dr. Shlomo Raz. Dr. Rosenblum joined the NYU urology faculty in 2002 and has been involved in training FPMRS fellows since that time. She has also been involved at Bellevue Hospital Center, a large city hospital serving greater New York City, in caring for female patients with pelvic floor disorders and urinary incontinence as well as both male and female patients with neurological disorders and bladder dysfunction.
Dr. Rosenblum has developed the NYU Langone FPMRS minimally invasive approach to pelvic organ repair utilizing the Da Vinci Robot system. She trains FPMRS fellows in these techniques at NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Rosenblum has interests in pelvic organ prolapse repair, including uterine-sparing techniques, incontinence treatments, female sexual dysfunction and lower urinary tract symptoms as well as recurrent urinary tract infections in women at all ages. She employs a comprehensive approach to female pelvic medicine encompassing medical, surgical and holistic treatment options.
Dr. Rosenblum has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers and contributed several book chapters within female pelvic medicine. She also served as associate editor of the book entitled Vaginal Surgery for the Urologist. She is an active member of the American Urological Association (AUA), the Society for Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction (SUFU), The American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and the Society for Women in Urology (SWIU). She has been an active faculty instructor for several years at the AUA annual meeting. She was a member of the SUFU executive committee for the last 6 years.
