Chad R. Tracy is currently a Clinical Professor of Urology at the University of Iowa with a dual appointment in the Department of Radiology. He serves as the Director for Minimally Invasive Surgery and Endourology as well as the residency program director for the department of urology. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond and graduated medic al school from the University of Iowa. Dr Tracy completed his urology residency at the University of Virginia, followed by a fellowship in endourology and minimally invasive surgery at the University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr Tracy's clinical practice focuses on the minimally invasive management of kidney stones, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and complex urologic reconstruction. He has published extensively on a broad range of topics including percutaneous ablation of renal tumors, nephrolithiasis, narcotic utilization, prostate cancer biopsy, and opioid utilization in urology. He enjoys teaching and is the recipient of multiple local, regionl, and national teaching awards.
