Dr. Marcelino Rivera is an Assistant Professor of Urology at Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and Urology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He completed his Endourology/ESWL Fellowship at the IU School of Medicine and is the current Director of the Endourology/ESWL fellowship at the IU School of Medicine and the Chief of Urology at Sydney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital. He is the section editor for the AUA Core Curriculum in Surgical Management of Stone Disease and an invited lecturere with expertise in both urinary stone disease, surgical and metabolic management as well as surgical management of BPH, specializing in Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate. His research interests include surgical management of kidney stones, kidney stone pathogenesis, HoLEP and stone formation in Hispanics.
