Course Description: This interactive program will focus on advanced urodynamics (UDS) and its application in complex voiding disorders utilizing real-life case presentations. We will review how UDS did (or did not) help, including if UDS assisted with patient assessment, did UDS play a role in decision making and management, and did UDS have a role in follow-up. At the conclusion of this program, the attendee will (1) have a better understanding of when urodynamics may and may not be helpful, (2) understand the limitations of urodynamics and (3) be familiar with urodynamic artifacts and how to work around them.

Learning Objectives:

Identify knowledge and understanding of urodynamic testing capabilities and when it may (and may not) be helpful in the assessment of patients with complicated urinary incontinence and/or complex voiding disorders.
Discuss how urodynamic testing can contribute to decision making in patients with complicated urinary incontinence and/or complex voiding disorders.
Employ a standardized storage and emptying algorithm to interpret urodynamic studies.
Identify urodynamic artifacts and how to work around them.
