Dr. Vassiliki "Liana" Tsikitis is a colorectal surgeon specializing in caring for adults with malignant and benign colorectal and anorectal diseases. She was appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and University Physicians Healthcare in November 2008. She joined the Division of Gastrointestinal and General Surgery at OHSU in September of 2011. During her tenure, she completed her Masters in Clinic Research in 2013, and was promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery in 2014. Dr. Tsikitis obtained her M.B.A. in healthcare policy at Brandeis University in 2019 and was promoted to Professor of Surgery at OHSU. Institutionally, Dr. Tsikitis serves as head of the Division of Gastrointestinal and General Surgery and as the Vice Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Department of Surgery. Regionally, she serves as the Chair of the Commission of Cancer for the state of Oregon.
