My name is Mohammad Ali Abbass; I am an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. I finished my training in general surgery, colorectal surgery and an additional fellowship focusing on Inherited Colorectal Cancer Syndromes at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. My research interests focus on standardizing care for patients with inherited colorectal cancer syndromes, understanding genotype-phenotype correlations in high-risk colorectal cancer patients and access to high-risk cancer care and genetic counseling. Outside work, I enjoy running after my two toddlers who teach me every day to stay curious, inspired and to enjoy the little things in life.
