Dr. Emily Steinhagen is an Associate Professor of Surgery at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She serves as the Associate Program Director of the General Surgery Residency and the Clerkship Director for 3rd Year medical students. She completed her BA at Williams College, MD at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and did her general surgery residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Steinhagen is a graduate of the colorectal residency at the University of Chicago. Her clinical interests are inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer. She has a strong interest in surgical education and education research.
