Dr. Colvin is the founder of Fairfax Colon and Rectal Surgery, PC in 1984. The practice has grown to a nine surgeon group with four midlevel providers in Northern Virginia, and has remained private. The practice participates in the teaching of surgical residents and medical students, and has remained private. Dr. Colvin has served on many hospital committees dealing with quality and operational processes, and served on many ASCARS committees. He has received numerous teaching awards and given the "Service to the Profession Award" by the Virginia Medical Society.
