Hepatology Care Coordinator

Mariah Young, RN-BSN is a Specialty Care Coordinator with the hepatology department at Cleveland Clinic. She is a graduate of the BSN program at Malone University. She has been with the Cleveland Clinic for seven years. During those seven years, she has worked with hepatology patients in an in-patient and outpatient setting. While in-patient, she received her Medical/Surgical certification. In her current role as an outpatient Care Coordinator, she works with the hepatologists to follow up with patients regarding lab results, appointments, procedures, and medications. She provides education to patients to help reduce readmissions to the hospital. She is the lead nurse in the multidisciplinary alcohol program where she collaborates with the hepatologist, psychiatrist, and social worker to provide a comprehensive care plan for patients with alcohol use disorder.
