My name is Augustus (Gus) M White, BA and I am an MD-PhD Candidate at Virginia Commonwealth University. My PhD is in Healthcare Policy and Research, in which I focus on topics related to tobacco regulatory science and substance abuse. My anticipated graduation date is May of 2026. Upon graduation, I plan to persue a research intensive residency in either internal medicine or psychiatry. My career goal is to become a indepdent clinician-scientist focusing on developing novel therapuetic approaches for patients with substance use disorder.
