My name is Jennifer Micek. I am a Data Analyst for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a B.A. I have been with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) since 2018. In that time I have worked directly with grants evaluation and data management in the Department of Family and Preventative Medicine’s Research and Evaluation Division in the fields of substance use, mental health and the criminal justice system. I have experience with direct data collection, data tracking, report development, and data-driven quality improvement for diversion and treatment courts. I’ve been supported by four SAMHSA grant projects to track, evaluate and report successes and challenges of evidence-based interventions in substance use disorders and treatment courts. I have also been supported by three other SAMHSA grants to help with substance use disorders in individuals experiencing homelessness and to help the children of treatment client courts alleviate trauma in their lives. I am interested in trauma-informed, evidence based treatment interventions and anti-stigma initiatives for vulnerable populations with substance use disorder in the criminal justice system.
