Dr. Katy Rooney (she/her) is an addiction medicine fellow at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA. She grew up outside of Philadelphia and completed medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL. She recently completed family medicine residency training at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. There she developed interests in perinatal substance use, obstetrics, and reproductive health, and she is now pursuing a fellowship in addiction medicine. She is looking forward to returning to the mountains and desert of the Southwest after fellowship training and plans to provide full-spectrum care in New Mexico while focusing on addiction medicine.
