Alma Jusufagic is a fourth-year medical student at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine (PSCOM). She received her MPH in Health Policy and Management from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She also received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a minor in Spanish from UCLA. Prior to medical school, Jusufagic worked as a researcher with the Cedars-Sinai Center for Outcomes Research and Education where she led projects that leveraged technological innovations to improve access to and quality of care. Her projects centered around pain management, opioid medication prescribing, cost-effectiveness, and patient-provider communication. Jusufagic brings knowledge of health services research, health system organization and financing, and qualitative research to her studies at PSCOM. Her current research interests at PSCOM include addiction, women’s health, and study design.
