Changes in Utilization Management Programs on the Use of Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) and Outcomes in OUD Patients Served by a State Medicaid Program

A retrospective study performed in 2 phases using structured, anonymized data from a State Medicaid plan to assess the impact of changes in Utilization Management Programs (UMPs) on the utilization of MOUD and counseling therapies in non-dual eligible Medicaid enrollees with an OUD diagnosis and to assess the impact of MOUD on healthcare resource utilization (HCRU).
