Jennifer Schroeder, MPH, CIC, has over eight years of experience in infection prevention, and she currently serves as the Lead Infection Preventionist at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans. She received her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Throughout her career, Jennifer has addressed emerging infection control concerns across a variety service lines in both pediatric and adult facilities. She was essential to the policy development process and response during the COVID-19 pandemic at Children’s Hospital, New Orleans. Jennifer is passionate about utilizing infection control data to implement programs that enhance patient safety, and she is excited to apply data-driven interventions to her current projects, including decolonization in the critical care populations, optimizing infection prevention practices in pediatric burn services, and increased infection prevention surveillance in the pediatric critical care populations.
