Medical Epidemiologist

Brian Rha, MD, MSPH, is a medical epidemiologist on the Dialysis Safety Team in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Rha received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed pediatrics residency training and subspecialty training in pediatric infectious diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2012, Dr. Rha came to CDC as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer assigned to the Division of Viral Diseases, where he studied the epidemiology of viral infections before moving to DHQP in 2021. His areas of interest include infection prevention, clinical epidemiology of viral infections, and child health.
