Erica Washington has served as the Healthcare-Associated Infections and Antibiotic Resistance Program Coordinator for the Louisiana Department of Health since 2009. She is certified in public health (CPH), infection control (CIC), healthcare quality (CPHQ), and is a fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (FAPIC). Her professional affiliations include Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists and Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (APIC). Erica serves as an APIC board member and is currently the organization’s national secretary. Her other recognitions include past Young Leadership Council Role Model (New Orleans) and 2013 White House Champion of Change for Prevention and Public Health.
