Sharon Fawcett, MSN, RN, CIC is the Associate Director of Hospital Epidemiology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California where she oversees the day-to-day infection prevention and administrative operations of the department. Sharon earned her BSN and MSN from Western Governors University. She has been a nurse for over 20 years and an infection preventionist for 10 years. Sharon’s passion is supporting the professional growth & development of her team. She also mentors other APIC members who are pursuing their CIC certification. She currently serves on APIC’s Professional Development Committee where she enjoys collaborating with other committee members to create professional development tools for APIC.
