Nicole (Nikki) Mueller, MLS(ASCP)CM, MBA, CIC, is a Public Health Regional Infection Preventionist with Wisconsin Department of Health Services in the Division of Public Health Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) Prevention Program. She provides infection prevention and control (IPC) consultation and education for local and tribal health departments, healthcare facilities, including long-term care facilities, and businesses throughout her public health region. Nikki has recently included IPC education and collaboration with veterinary and animal care settings to her repertoire. Nikki has worked in healthcare for over 15 years and began developing her infection prevention expertise over 7 years ago. She is a hardworking, dedicated professional who enjoys learning new things and collaborating with various people and facilities. When joining infection prevention, she wishes someone had warned her that you would be “thrown into the deep end of the pool,” but wouldn’t trade any of the knowledge and opportunities that she has gained.
