Senior Multidrug Resistant Organisms Epidemiologist

Caleb Cox, MPH, is the Senior Multidrug Resistant Organisms epidemiologist for the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH). A 2010 graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Medical Laboratory Science, he worked for Indiana University Health Pathology laboratories at various hospitals throughout central Indiana until 2021. Upon completion of his Master of Public Health at Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, he joined the Hospital Acquired Infections/Antimicrobial Resistance team at the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) in the fall of 2021. Initially his role was specifically focused as the Candida auris epidemiologist, but he recently transitioned to the Senior Multi-Drug Resistant Organisms epidemiologist. He still retains his role as the subject matter expert for Candida auris an IDOH.
