My name is Marissa Durst BSN, RN CIC and i am an Infection Preventionist at UPMC Mercy
My professional career began in 2007 when I graduated from Mercy School of Nursing. I have spent my 15 year career at UPMC Mercy, beginning on a Surgical/Oncology unit for 13 of those years as a bedside nurse and eventually Clinician role. I obtained my BSN in 2019 from Western Governor's University. In January of 2020 I transferred to Infection Prevention where I have now been for the last 3 years. I have recently, September 2022, received my Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
