Infection Preventionist/Health Scientist

Abimbola (Bola) Ogundimu is a Nurse Infection Preventionist/Health Scientist with the Long-Term Care (LTC) team at the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention’s Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP). In this role, she provides infection prevention and control consultation, technical assistance and resources for state-based and national initiatives in LTC settings. She also serves as a subject matter expert for clinical inquiries related to infection control outbreaks. She has been a registered nurse for over 15 years, with over a decade of experience in oncology and medical-surgical nursing and infection prevention and control in multiple healthcare settings (including acute care hospitals, nursing homes and a long-term acute care hospital). She has certifications in infection prevention and control (CIC) and in healthcare quality (CPHQ).
