Infection Preventionist

Caitlyn Ngam, MPH, CIC is an Infection Preventionist at Vail Health in Vail, Colorado. She has an undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University in Biochemistry and previously performed cell-signaling research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she later completed her Masters of Public Health. She performed her graduate research in Infection Prevention in conjunction with the Systems Engineering Initiative for Patient Safety. Her work examining C. difficile infection prevention and hand hygiene efforts has been published in Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology (ICHE) and the American Journal of Infection Control (AJIC), and she has presented posters at both APIC and SHEA national conferences. Caitlyn is currently a board member of the Mile High APIC chapter of Colorado. She is most passionate about collaborating with clinical leadership to support infection prevention and patient safety initiatives, and values making connections with other IPs across the state and country.
