Doreen Dutchak is an RN graduate of Saint Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing, where she remained employed for almost 20 years. She was the first to jump in and take a leading role during the early phases of the AIDS epidemic. She later transitioned to the Emergency Department where she continued her career as a nurse, clinical specialist, and Trauma Program Manager before taking on administrative and operational responsibilities.
Later in her career she received her MBA with a focus on Health Care Management from Regis University, along with a certificate in Project Management.
Ms. Dutchak has been employed by RWJBH for over 13 years and has over 30 years of nursing and operational experience. In her current role, she has responsibility and oversight for multiple programs including Infection Prevention & Control, Risk Management, Emergency Preparedness, Covid vaccination and testing, Standards, Stewardship and also serves as the organization’s Safety Officer.
She is committed to improving the overall safety and quality for all patients, staff, providers and the greater Newark community.
