Associate Hospital Epidemiologist

Dr. Pepe is a Medical Director and Associate Hospital Epidemiologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at New York University, and went on to pursue a Masters in Public Health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, with a focus on Environmental Health Sciences. Dr. Pepe attended medical school at New York Medical College and completed her Internal Medicine residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She completed her Infectious Diseases fellowship at Yale School of Medicine/Yale New Haven Health, and after her last year, was fortunate to be selected as a Leadership in Epidemiology, Antimicrobial Stewardship and Public Health (LEAP) Fellow where she worked in collaboration with the Connecticut Department of Public Health on a project focused on catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs) in acute care hospitals. Dr. Pepe's interests are in healthcare associated infections, emerging infectious diseases and environmental impacts on health.
