Amanda Valyko, MPH, CIC, FAPIC, is the Director of Infection Prevention & Epidemiology for Michigan Medicine.
Amanda has been an Infection Preventionist since 2006. She received her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She is board certified in Infection Prevention & Control and a Fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.
Amanda served as President for the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Great Lakes Chapter (APIC GL) in 2021. She has served on the APIC GL Board since 2013 and had previous leadership roles for the Michigan Society for Infection Prevention and Control. She is a member of the State of Michigan Healthcare Associated Infection Advisory Group and has been involved in the Michigan Hospital Association Keystone ICU Advisory Board. Amanda is an adjunct lecturer for the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
