Anna O’Donnell received her Master of Science in Nursing in 2011 from Loyola University of Chicago (LUC) and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1987 from LUC. Anna is Board Certified in Infection Control (CIC). She is currently employed by Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago as the Director of the Infection Prevention and Control Department and is a Fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (FAPIC). Prior to her Director role, Anna worked at Northwestern Memorial Hospital as an Infection Control Coordinator for 7 years, as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Gynecologic Oncology/Ovarian Cancer Early Detection Program for 4 years and as a staff nurse in the Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit and Cardiovascular Thoracic Unit for 12 years.
