2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the CDC Environmental Infection Control guidelines. Join the team that brought these guidelines to life as they share the journey behind the evidence-based standards and how the science still stands today, and how it helps provide a world-class patient care experience and reduce healthcare-associated infections.

1. Participants will learn the history of the CDC Environmental Infection Control Guidelines (EIC), along with grasping an understanding of the science and fundamental evidence that remains true today.

2. Identify key elements of the standards and regulations that provide evidence for the guidelines that specifically apply to the EOC, e.g. Cleaning and Disinfection, Surfaces, Air, Water, Laundry, etc.

3. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with the experts behind the guidelines from the CDC, as well as ask questions around emerging challenges in today's environment.
