Session Description: In this session Dr. Peter Hotez, a pediatric vaccine scientist will discuss efforts to develop low-cost vaccines for global health, including a patent-free COVID vaccine technology now administered to almost 100 million people. Hotez is leading efforts to combat growing antivaccine activism and expanding antivaccine aggression, which has led to significant losses in human life in the United States, especially during the Delta wave of COVID-19 in 2021. He will discuss ways to combat growing disinformation.
