MCH Epidemiology Unit Manager

Ms. Young has worked as a Maternal Child Health (MCH) epidemiologist in the Section of Women’s, Children’s, and Family Health since 2005 and has served as MCH Epidemiology Unit Manager since July 2014. Two of her major projects include supporting the annual report and application for the Title V MCH Block grant for Alaska and managing the ongoing Alaska Childhood Understanding Behaviors Survey (CUBS), a PRAMS 3-year follow-up survey. She analyzes and presents a variety of infant, child, and maternal health and mortality data in Alaska. Her Master’s in Public Health is from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine focused on Health Program Monitoring and Evaluation, and she is very excited to be back in New Orleans this week after many years.
