Lakeeta is a wife,mother of 5 children and the Founder/Executive Director of Essentially Empowered, Inc.Lakeeta is a Student Midwife, Certified Community Health Worker and Instructor, Certified Full Spectrum Doula and Doula Instructor, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist & Trainer, Certified Lactation Specialist & Trainer, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Childbirth Education Instructor. Lakeeta is also a Family Lend Mentee, of the UW-Mdison LEND program. Lakeeta aims to reduce health disparities experienced by people of color through trauma-informed care, advocacy, and policy change.
